Welcome in Casa…Cas’Antica Soprana

Built in the early years of the last century, the small home of Cas’Antica is an authentic house built with the typical local stone that can also be admired inside its rooms, where the owner Giovanna offers hospitality to her guests in the two bedrooms available.

Immersed in the ancient village of Petralia Soprana located at 1147 m S.L.M. in the mountain hinterland of the unique scenery of the Madonie Park, it is located in the historic center just a few meters from the most beautiful places in the country, inside one of the suggestive medieval courtyards where the other houses of the inhabitants who share this small overlook space in harmony.

Recovered and transformed keeping the original layout, it is conceived with a place to spend a stay immersed in the rural atmosphere, discovering the life and beauty of the village of Petralia Soprana and the Madonite territory, nature, rural places and the flavors of traditional gastronomy.

There are two rooms dedicated to hospitality – Petra and Batraliah – named after the ancient names of the village in the Norman and Arab periods, both with private bathroom and equipped with TV and fridge, where you can rest and spend relaxing hours enjoying herbal teas and tea with local biscuits made available to guests with kettle and cups.

Every morning a rich and tasty breakfast is offered in the kitchen of the house – but also inside the room for those who want greater intimacy and relaxation -, rigorously served with local products, supplied by farms in the surroundings and the town’s ovens, giving the opportunity to discover the true local flavors.

A further service allows you to book immediately together with the room also guided tours of the village and its surroundings, sporting and naturalistic excursions, sensory and taste experiences together for adults and children, views on farms and participate in the life of the territory.

Hello! my name is Giovanna

Hello! my name is Giovanna and I am happy to host you in my house.
My origins are here in the Madonie mountains, I grew up on bread and culture, since I was a child I breathe the adventurous air of travel, traveling in Italy and in both hemispheres visiting extraordinary places from the Americas to the old Europe of the great capitals and boundless landscapes.

Curious beyond the normal, energetic and enthusiastic, I realize my dream by returning to Sicily just a few years later after doing fashion design, convinced that only in my homeland can I truly realize my future and that of my territory.

I attend a marketing course for the area and I realize my first project to revalue rural places, which will become my great passion, the reason for a change of life and prospects, working for small municipalities and local farms, discovering a land hidden and unknown, a real treasure, which I want to share with you.

Today I live here in the small village of Petralia Soprana in a really old house that I have renovated and where I offer my hospitality and passion, also taking care of the promotion of the village with my marketing and communication work.

I love every corner of my land and every moment is good to involve my guests in its discovery to give unforgettable moments.
